Rex’s CDI ignitor unit replaces the “A” and “B” combined box for 1974-1976 Kawasaki H1E, H1F, KH500. OEM p/ns refer: X6T31372, 21119-025

Our combined CDI unit features highly effective arch quenching circuitry to reduce arching on the distributor. Unlike the original it does not short most of the spark energy to ground and ensures a hot, powerful spark. Comes complete with stainless steel mounting plate.

Note: This ignition system is an unusal design, once running it proves very realible but it can prove problematic to get it working. Our technicians have seen just about every fault and have the knowledge to help you get it right. We cannot stress the importance of having the generator source windings exactly to spec after a repair, a good clean distributor with good brushes and following the shop manual for ignition set up and running clearance. We recommend rotor to pick-up clearance be set to the smallest gap stated.

A new CDi unit is only one part of the ignition system, so if a brand new ‘plug-in’ CDi unit does not fix, or changes the symptoms then your next action is to consider other parts in the system that may need to be replaced or repaired to clear the problem, especially where that system is over 20 years old.  You can be sure that the issue will be found in an old part you have not yet replaced.
