Our Special Edition 7 wire CDi unit has an improved case, visually similar to the original.
Intended to fit USA market models G & H fitted with YAMAHA factory electronic ignition. Original p/n: 3H6-85540-50 the label on the box is often marked 3H6 or 3H6-50.

Only for use with standard YAMAHA ignition. DOES NOT convert points to electronic ignition.
A new CDi unit is only one part of the ignition system, so if a brand new ‘plug-in’ CDi unit does not fix, or changes the symptoms then your next action is to consider other parts in the system that may need to be replaced or repaired to clear the problem, especially where that system is over 20 years old. You can be sure that the issue will be found in an old part you have not yet replaced.
