Lucas LED headlamp bulb, British Pre Focus fitting with high and low beams.
The power required is so little that lights can be used all the time and the battery will stay charged, even if you have a dynamo.
These LEDs transform your your visiblity to other traffic.
Suitable for both positive and negative earth 6 or 12V. If you later decide to convert a 6 volt machine to 12 volts you carry on using the same bulbs
- Suitable for positive AND negative earth, 6 and 12 volt operation.
- Positive and negative earth compatible.
- There are two beams, low which is complimented by an additional beam when ‘high’ is selected.
- Beam focus will depend on the reflector used with.
- Power consumption 6V: Low 2.7Watts, high beam: 5.7Watts
- Power consumption 12″ Low 2.64Watts, high beam: 5.52Watts
Important Information
Motorcycles with 6 volt alternators: A solid state regulator rectifier unit must be fitted.
Most dynamo systems have voltage regulation as standard. There is no requirement to replace a correctly functioning mechanical voltage regulator.
6 Volt operation: LED will not operate below 5.5 volts, so this unit will not illuminate if the battery is at 25% or lower state of charge on a 6V system. Filament bulbs only glow and will fail to provide a useable beam at this voltage.
