Description
Tri-Spark ignition coil designed for classic motorcycles requiring a 6-volt ignition coil. They use heavier-gauge windings and a high-grade magnetic core to provide strong spark energy and good spark duration.
The coils are oil filled, like the original Lucas-style coils. Oil-filled construction provides good heat transfer and is well suited to the temperature and vibration found in classic motorcycle applications.
The Tri-Spark coil has the same 40 mm diameter as the original Lucas 17M12 and 17M6 coils, making it suitable for installations designed around these coils.
Tri-Spark IGC-1006
- Voltage: 6 volts
- Primary resistance: 2.2 ohms
- Diameter: 40 mm
- Same diameter as Lucas 17M12 and 17M6 coils
Important: Always have a spark plug connected to the HT output when the ignition is switched on or the engine is being cranked. Never operate the coil with the HT output disconnected, as the resulting high voltage can damage the ignition system or coil.
Compatible with contact breaker and electronic ignition most conversions used on British motorcycles
