Description
The Tri-Spark high-performance sequential firing system is designed without a separate control box, making this super simple to fit. The elctronics maximise battery power, no wasted spark system so all the spark energy is focused on one cylinder at a time. The result is superior all round performance and reduced current drain, which is all important for ensuring a quick and clean engine start.
The Classic Triple Mark 2 showcases advancements in ignition technology, enhancing reliability, durability, and overall performance. Compatible with:
- Triumph Trident
- BSA Rocket Three
- T160, T150
- Hurricane models
This system can only use specified HT coils, choose one of these options:
- 12V canister type (x3), this is the prefered configuration to give 100% of the battery power to the HT coils.
- Use Supressor caps with a 5K resistor, or resistor spark plugs, not both!
Non preferred option 6-volt coils
- Ballast resistor. P/N BALRES-1
- 6-volt coils (x3)
- Use Supressor caps with a 5K resistor, or resistor spark plugs, not both!
- Less efficient as some of the battery’s power is burnt off as heat in the ballast resistor, which is wasted energy.
This system must never be used with mini coils, digital or other coils sold as ‘electronic ignition’ types. Use only the Lucas canister type as original fitment.
