12 volt Roadster ignition for DT250 D&E Mono shock models with flywheel F1T350.
Our new (2026 version) Roadster kits are designed to eliminate ignition and charging problems in one straightforward installation. Electrics connect directly to the standard Yamaha wiring loom* and require only basic set-up. The system retains the original AC lighting arrangement while natively upgrading the electrical system to 12-volt operation, giving noticeably brighter lighting. We stock kits with 12 volt horns, bulbs batteries etc.
The kit replaces the ageing ignition and charging components which, after nearly half a century, have often become a source of unreliability. This version now features an adjustable billet stator plate, precision-machined and accurately assembled to allow dialling in of timing.
Requires flywheel stamped F1T350 – Ensure your flywheel has this number before ordering.
Fits: DT250D& E 1977-78 with F1T350 flywheel.

Our Roadster range is designed to provide brighter, more effective road lighting by upgrading the motorcycle to a 12 volt electrical system. It does not significantly increase the available electrical power and is not intended to supply additional accessories such as phone chargers, heated grips or other auxiliary equipment.
For best results, use conventional motorcycle lighting. LED lighting is not recommended.
Important: Must not be used with lithium batteries.
