The Lucas Rita ignition system has long been a popular choice for British and European motorcycles, as well as cars. Even today, it’s widely used and supported by enthusiasts worldwide. To continue that legacy, we’ve developed the Rita Revival — a simple, drop-in replacement designed as a convenient “repair at home” solution for aging or failed Rita electronics.

- Direct Replacement: The Rita Revival is designed to be an easy fix for failed or outdated Rita electronics.
- Two Versions Available: This is the AB5 version. The electronics are the same in both versions, with only minor differences in mounting details and wire colors. Be sure to select the correct version based on your metal Rita box, as they are not interchangeable.
- There’s no need to send your old unit for repair. A skilled mechanic can easily replace the old board with the new one, saving time and money.
- Fully Compatible Timing: The Rita Revival uses the same pick-up and reluctor as the original system, ensuring full compatibility and maintaining accurate timing.

Important Notes:
- Three-Cylinder Machines: The Rita Revival is compatible with three-cylinder machines, but only if one of two specific HT coil configurations is used. 4V coils must not be used. When fitted to three HT coils, the unit is covered by a 6-month warranty. Please note, driving three HT coils from a single drive transistor places the unit under maximum load at all times.
- Technical Disclaimer: Based on our research, Lucas Industries never officially supported the use of their Rita system in driving three HT coil applications. The Rita system was originally supplied for motorcycles by an aftermarket company. For British triples, we recommend using the Tri-spark ignition system for optimal performance.
- By necessity this unit functions exactly the same as the original Lucas Rita.
